Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) Filaments

Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) is a durable & recyclable 3D printer filament.

This 3D printer filament is recognized as one of the top filaments on the market. ABS's combination of durability and rigidity make it the "Professional's plastic". ABS is widely used for prototypes because of its rigid polymer structure. Other companies offer ABS in a small range of colors, but we pride ourselves in our broad selection... we have color options covering the spectrum. ABS’s light and durable characteristics allow for wide varieties of uses that include children's toys and containers. ABS plastic is also very resistant to many different types of corrosives.

Unfortunately, ABS does have a few drawbacks. When printing with ABS an odor is released. In addition, ABS absorbs water easily, and if left exposed, it may have air bubbles when printing. At 3D Thermoplastics, we package our ABS in sealed bags to avoid water absorption. It is also better to use ABS in machines with heatbed to mitigate the effects of humidity.
